I've been sitting here thinking, and I am pretty sure I have not been this destitute before ever in life. When you couple the fact that I literally have $2.00 to my name, and am living in a camper with no running water in a friends back yard, it sounds pretty effing pathetic.
It's not like we're starving to death or anything, flour and water can make all sorts of things. I can still make a big pot of soup with some of the cupboard remnants. The Internet and a telephone is nice, but not necessary in the grand scheme of things I guess. It is warm enough to walk everywhere, so it's okay that the truck is almost on empty, and the payment is going to bounce. Right? Think positive, and positive things will happen is what I tell people.
Really though, by the end of the month, we will both have a couple paychecks, and will be able to catch up on everything, and throw our landlords a few bucks if me and my handy dandy budget get our way.
It's just hard. We are both working so hard, we haven't even seen each other much since we got back to Regina, and while we're working so hard, things are going unpaid left and right. I hate getting behind like that. It's embarrassing, and stressful...and embarrassing. Bah!
At least I found my keys. That's one less expense I will need to worry about.
Update: Right after posting this, my brother showed up and gave me a donation so I could keep my phone and internet. He's the most superest person in the world. You should read his blog @ http://nerdcereal.blogspot.com
I also finally got a hold of someone at BMO that not only lived in Canada, and not India or Russia, but in Regina...she helped me sort out my truck stuff and gave me many words of encouragement in getting through this stressful time. She told me it will all be over soon, and by the end of the month, all will be well. She is also the most superest person in the world.

1. The stream that runs right behind our campsite.
2. The moss that grows on trees, roofs, fences and picnic tables.
3. The warmer temperature.
4. My new ugly, but wonderful rubber boots.
5. Catching up on all the blogs I heart.

1. Although he broke the coffee pot, his heart was in the right place. I still ended up with morning coffee, thanks to his creativity, and didn't have to clean up the mess. Thanks honey!
2. New material from Value Village in Prince Albert. It's going to make some nice purses!
3. Nutcase101 bought one of my favorite items. Thanks!
4. It is nice enough outside, that I can just go for a walk, instead of having to drag my butt to the gym.
5. The house isn't as dirty as I make it out to be in my head. If I just spend tomorrow morning cleaning, it should hopefully stay that way until Saturday when company comes, and the ladies come over for the Sex Toy Party.
6. I am not as stressed about having to go back to work on Thursday, as I was last Friday. Finally, I am enjoying my 6 days off....now that there is only 2 to go.
7. Patches original owners were ever so nice, and babysat while we were out of town. They are even going to drop him off today for me.
8. It is St. Paddy's Day! Even though I may not go out, I hope that all of my friends have a drunken good time.

1. I am incredibly grateful for the fact that I was raised in a family where we were taught that family and friends come before anything else.
2. If I hadn't been raised that way, I may not have had so much fun on a road trip the past couple days, wrecking hotel headboards with Carla, playing cribbage, eating an insane amount of disgusting food, and singing oldies at the top of our lungs on the way home (in which I did a five hour drive in three hours!)
3. I love that I have people in my life, who will drop what they are doing, and leave town, so that we can check and see how a friend is doing....and have fun doing it.
4. I am extremely grateful that I had the chance to meet Wilf, and make some wonderful memories of him, and his children, before he passed on last week.
5. It makes me happy and comforted to know that his children have adopted my brothers and I into their family, and that we have done the same to them.
6. After a week of birthday's, night shifts, drinking with the ladies, and a funeral, I finally just let myself take the time to have a huge cry over the loss of a man, who I am ever so grateful to have had in my life.

1. New to me sewing supplies, that smell old. Mmmm. Thank you Saviabella's mom!
2. An afternoon of "The Facts of Life", Season One.
3. Waking up to find a heart-shaped chocolate on a stick under my face. Did I mention that the word "love" was written on it in white chocolate? :)
4. Only one more sleep until my 30th birthday party.
5. Finally getting that chin whisker plucked, after a week of waiting for it to be long enough.
6. Drinking green tea, while talking on the phone with your best friend.

7 Good Things About Today.
For reasons I cannot talk about here, due to my confidentiality agreement at work, my day did not start out all that well. Let's just say that I can drive under intense pressure, without spilling a drop of my gas station coffee. By the time I got home, I was exhausted, and retired to the couch to watch "What Not to Wear". I vowed to never leave the couch until Friday when I went back to work. But, I perked up, and my day got better.
A nice hot shower and clean clothes helped me feel a bit more alert, and less like a smelly hobo.
Grocery shopping with Smyrish, is always an adventure.
I cooked a pot roast for supper, along with green bean casserole, stuffing, steamed carrots, wild rice, and of course, gravy.
I had a bubble bath, and a glass of wine or three.
I got my CSI fix for the day. Two hours of Grissom, always makes me happy and scrappy.
Smyrish and I sat together and wrote Xmas cards to our friends and family, while having a schnick, of course. Some of my Xmas cards, are a little bit silly thanks to the wine. I hope those who receive them, can appreciate my I'm-a-little-bit-tipsy Xmas humour.
Mr. Head and I had a nice chat over the Interweb.
And now, I am having a beer, watching "Family Business", and perusing my friends Etsy shops. (One day, I will actually purchase.)
For a day that started out so craptastically, it sure did turn out pretty swell. Now if only Aunt Flo would move along, life would be grand.
